Approximately one in three Canadians will experience a mental health issue in their life time. Well known examples include depression and anxiety. Such medical conditions can significantly impact not only an employee’s well-being, but also impact the employer’s business. Small efforts by employers or property owners can go a long way in preventing such issues from arising in the workplace.
Joseph Oppenheim and Lauren A. Kautz from Stones Carbert Waite LLP will discuss strategy on how to prevent mental health issues before they arise and affect the business, and second, how to appropriately respond when an employee is suspected of having a mental issue. Some interesting examples may be drawn from experience or the literature, such as designing space
in mental health hospitals.
The session will take place on Wednesday May 27, 9 am – 10 am. Register today!
