BOMA Calgary's 1st Annual Charity Hockey Tournament- Powered by Surety Cleaning Corp.
Get ready for a day of fun, friendly competition, and community spirit at BOMA Calgary’s inaugural Charity Hockey Tournament! Whether you’re a seasoned player or a first-timer, this event promises an unforgettable experience. Best of all, it’s for a great cause—raising funds for the BOMA Calgary Foundation. 
Tournament Details:
  • Date: Thursday, May 8, 2025
  • Time: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Location: Seven Chiefs Sportsplex Arena
Why Participate?
  • Format: Exhibition round robin. Each team plays at least 2 games, with a championship and consolation match for the top 4 teams.
  • Exclusive Opportunity: Only 6 teams allowed, making it a high-energy, competitive event. Each team will have a maximum of 15 players (including the goalie).
  • Skill Levels: Open to all skill levels! We’ll use a ranking system to ensure teams are evenly matched for maximum fun.
Team Requirements:
  • Each team must have two active BOMA members.
  • Register individually, as a group, or as a full team. If registering in a group, teams will be created to keep everyone together and balance skill levels.
Cost:
  • $200 per person includes:
    • 2+ guaranteed games
    • Team jersey
    • A delicious catered lunch
    • The chance to support a meaningful cause

Skill Level Ranking System
Each player must choose their skill level when registering.
  1. Beginner
    • Experience: New to hockey or played less than 1-2 years.
    • Skills: Learning basic skills like skating, passing, and shooting.
    • Role: Needs help with positioning and decision-making.
  2. Intermediate
    • Experience: Played for several years, can skate and pass well.
    • Skills: Consistent puck handling, understands basic strategies.
    • Role: Contributes to plays but might not be as fast or skilled as higher-level players.
  3. Advanced
    • Experience: Played at a high level (competitive leagues or junior leagues).
    • Skills: Strong skating, puck handling, shooting, and defensive skills.
    • Role: Key player on both offense and defense.
  4. Elite
    • Experience: Highly experienced, often in competitive or professional leagues.
    • Skills: Elite level skating, passing, and playmaking.
    • Role: Dominates both ends of the rink, a game changer.

Team Composition
  • Self-Assessment: Players choose their skill level when registering.
  • Balanced Teams: Teams will be mixed to ensure a good mix of skill levels.
  • Adjustments: Organizers may adjust teams to keep things fair and balanced.
This ranking system ensures everyone has a competitive, fun experience, no matter their skill level.

Cancellation Policy
A refund will be available prior to 12:00 (noon) on Monday, May 5, 2025. No refunds will be issued after 12:00 (noon) on  Monday, May 5, 2025.
