George Roman is a senior program manager with The City of Calgary. He has over 20 years of experience with strategic watershed management in the private and public sectors, including with the United Nations, the BC Provincial government, and The City of Calgary. He previously worked for The City from 2014 to 2019, where he worked on source water protection and river valley management plans and policies, and returned as a boomerang employee in November 2023. Recently, he has been busy building and leading a new program for Corporate drought preparedness in a matrix organizational structure, which includes 7 coordinated sub-teams.
