Join us for our 56th Annual General Meeting and April Event! We are excited to host Dr. Trevor Tombe as our guest speaker. Dr. Tombe will be speaking to Alberta’s fiscal situation and his outlook on the economy moving forward. Dr. Trevor Tombe is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Calgary and a Research Fellow at The School of Public Policy. Prior to joining the University of Calgary in 2012, Dr. Tombe was an Assistant Professor of Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. His wide range of research topics include the macroeconomic aspects of international trade and, in particular, on the factors influencing a country’s or an industry’s productivity, energy and environmental policy trends and how it influences the economy, international trade, and fiscal federalism questions. In addition to this work, Dr. Tombe also contributes to public policy research and outreach in Alberta and Canada.
