Join us for an interactive luncheon with Calgary’s Ward 3 Councillor Jyoti Gondek.
Calgary is at a crossroads and facing challenges from an economy that has been slow to recover. Our city has also been facing tough global competition when it comes to attracting and retaining businesses. Councillor Gondek will provide an outlook from city council’s perspective and how past, current, and potential upcoming direction from council will impact the commercial real estate industry. She will also outline steps taken by city administration and council to adopt our industry’s best practices into bylaws.
Councillor Gondek will be taking questions from the audience following a presentation.
About Jyoti Gondek
Councillor Gondek was elected to city council in 2017, representing Ward 3 which consists of north central Calgary. Before taking office, Jyoti was the Director of the Westman Centre for Real Estate Studies at the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business. She has served as a board member for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Alberta, Design Talks Institute (d.talks) and Parent Support Association. She also served as an advisor on the National Executive Forum on Public Property and the Calgary Economic Development Commercial Real Estate Committee.
