The Green Line is Calgary’s largest publicly funded infrastructure projects, and when completed will move approximately 65,000 riders each day. It will connect Southeast and North-Central Calgary to the downtown core, making our city more livable and our downtown even more robust. The Green Line has been the subject of renewed public debate and council consideration as it was revealed that there were cost concerns associated with the portion of the track around downtown. Join us as Graham Gerylo, Senior Manager, Stakeholder Relation for the City of Calgary’s Green Line project provides an overview of the Green Line vision, and updates the industry on the current status of the project including the complicated downtown component.
Cost: $55 for members, $110 for non-members (includes hot breakfast buffet)
Graham Gerylo is managing the stakeholder relations program for the Green Line LRT project. The mandate of this team is to help Calgarians prepare for and manage the potential impacts of this significant infrastructure building project. Graham has implemented a number of public realm improvement projects in Calgary’s Centre City. His approach to successfully implementing projects is through an interest-based stakeholder engagement process. This process encourages both stakeholders and project teams to share interests, to better understand needs, hopes and challenges, and to work together to contribute to project success.
